All Hail our Inaugural Queen- Andrea "Jazzy Jewel" Theodore
The NOLA Lolas' Crown Jewel is non other than our Inaugural Queen. Queen Andrea "Jazzy Jewel Theodore was a shining glamorous light from the moment we first laid eyes on her. She embodies what it means to be a LOLA.
The NOLA Lolas proudly honor Mrs. Andrea Theodore, our 2025–2026 Inaugural Queen Lola, whose grace, dedication, and unwavering heart have forever shaped the foundation of our sisterhood.
A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, Andrea is the beloved daughter of Tammy Lynn Nero and Andre Caire. She is deeply supported by her husband, Mr. Gabriel Theodore, Sr., and their beautiful children, Gabriel Theodore, Jr. and Giselle “Gigi” Theodore, who have shared in the joy, pride, and excitement of this remarkable season. As the eldest sibling to Michael Anthony Nero, Andre Caire, Jr., and Amber Nero-Sims, Andrea has always embodied leadership, responsibility, and care—qualities that have defined her reign.
Andrea’s journey is rooted in excellence and perseverance. A proud alumna of Palmer Elementary, St. Raymond Middle School, and L.E. Rabouin Career Magnet High School, she continued her education at Xavier University of Louisiana before pursuing her calling in nursing at William Carey University. In 2008, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and began serving as a Registered Nurse at University Medical Center. Her passion for healing did not stop there. Seven years later, she obtained her Master’s Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner, and in 2021, driven by a deep commitment to mental health, she earned her Post-Master’s Certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner from McNeese State University, achieving dual certification.
Today, Andrea serves her community through DePaul Community Health Centers, where she provides primary and mental health care to underserved populations. Her work is marked by compassion, advocacy, and a deep understanding that true care addresses both body and mind. A fierce believer in education and perseverance, Andrea often reminds those around her that “the elevator to success does not stop,” a reflection of the example she lives daily.
Faith in God remains her anchor—guiding her steps, grounding her spirit, and shaping the humility with which she leads.
Andrea’s love for culture, movement, and sisterhood found its home in Mardi Gras. A member of the Mystic Krewe of Femme Fatale since 2022 and a dancer with CherChez La Femme beginning in 2023, her passion for dance and celebration continued to flourish. In 2024, she joined the NOLA Lolas during their inaugural year—an experience she describes as one of the best decisions of her life. Bestowed the Lola name “Jazzy Jewel,” Andrea shines brilliantly, embodying strength, elegance, and authenticity.
As Queen, Andrea has gone far beyond the crown. She has served with intention, heart, and humility—supporting her sisters, uplifting the organization, and stepping into leadership as a vital member of the dance leadership team. She has shown us what it means to reign not from a pedestal, but from a place of service.
Andrea is, and will forever be, our Inaugural Queen. She is the PinkPrint—the blueprint for what it means to lead with grace, to show up fully, and to pour into sisterhood without hesitation. Her legacy will guide generations of Queens who follow in her footsteps, setting the standard for decades to come.
We thank you, Queen Jazzy Jewel, for your light, your leadership, and your love. Your reign may be concluding, but your impact is everlasting.
Forever Grateful. Forever Lola. Lola Proud
